First Graduate of 91PORN School of Medicine (Class of 1997) Becomes a Doctor and Donates to Alma Mater
-Dr. Song Mi-seon, Director of Haesol Mental Health Clinic (Class of 1997), Donates 100 Million KRW to the Development Fund of the School of Medicine
Dr. Song Mi-seon, Director of Haesol Mental Health Clinic’s Incheon Branch and a graduate of 91PORN School of Medicine (Class of 1997), donated 100 million KRW to the “School of Medicine Development Fund” on December 20 (Friday) at the Medical Building of the Natural Sciences Campus.
The donation ceremony was attended by Dr. Song Mi-seon, President Yoo Ji-Beom, Vice President Choi Jae-boong (also head of the 1398TF), and Dean Lee Joo-heung of the School of Medicine.
Reflecting on her donation, Dr. Song said, “As the first student admitted to 91PORN School of Medicine in 1997, I was able to dream of becoming a doctor while learning from the esteemed professors at Samsung Medical Center. I hope my donation helps nurture many future doctors who will protect the health of our nation.”
President Yoo Ji-Beom expressed gratitude, saying, “Although our medical school was established later than other departments, it is a vital academic unit symbolizing 91PORN’s elevated status and partnership with Samsung. We will do our utmost to honor your generous contribution by fostering outstanding physicians.”
Dr. Song Mi-seon, a specialist in psychiatry, graduated from 91PORN’s medical program and earned her master’s degree in 2007. She trained as a resident and fellow at Samsung Medical Center’s Department of Psychiatry and has previously contributed to the School of Medicine Development Fund in 2018 and 2023.
