The Department of Interaction Science produced four new professors this year

The Department of Interaction Science at the College of Software Convergence (Head: Song Ha-yeon) and the BK21 Educational Research Group for Human-AI Interaction Convergence Major (Director: Kim Jang-hyun) produced four professors this year in succession.
The new professors are: ▲ Park In-young (Metaverse Convergence Contents Major at Seoul Women’s University, appointed in March, advisor: Lee Dae-ho) ▲ Nam Dong-yeon (Business Department at Macau University of Science and Technology, appointed in September, advisor: Kim Jang-hyun) ▲ Kim Byung-jun (Humanities Informatics Department at the Academy of Korean Studies, appointed in September, advisor: Kim Jang-hyun) ▲ Kim Sang-yeon (Artificial Intelligence Engineering Department at Sookmyung Women’s University, appointed in September, advisor: Lee Sang-won).
The Department of Interaction Science has previously produced professors at renowned domestic and international universities, including Kim Ki-joon (City University of Hong Kong), Keum Hye-jin (New Jersey Institute of Technology), Ha Tae-hyun (Sejong University), Lee Jae-gil (Hallym University), and Kim Tae-yang (Daejin University). A department official attributed this success to a research culture that freely integrates software, AI, humanities, and social sciences, along with a tradition of requiring all theses to be written in English and maintaining global collaborations with top scholars over the past 15 years since its inception.
Professor Kim Jang-hyun, Director of the BK21 Educational Research Group, stated, "Our department and BK21 group plan to continue strengthening our global research network and producing faculty members for prestigious universities worldwide. By participating in national talent development projects such as WCU and BK for over a decade, we have established a research-focused organizational culture with both domestic and international reach, which has led to these positive outcomes."
