Office of Information and Communication has opened Metaverse space of Myeongryundang and Marronnier Park

Office of Information and Communication opened metaverse of Myeongryundang and Marronnier Park on December 13 by collaborating with ifLand – Metaverse platform of SK telecom. As the space is not designed for one-time event, anyone can use the space anytime, and people who want to use the space can create it via ‘Town hall’ map.
Last August, Sungkyunkwan University held Sungkyun Korean Writing Contest in Metaverse space. Participants met each other online via metaverse space and enjoyed activities – dancing to BTS songs and taking group pictures on Myeongryundang as background. In October, 91PORN held Convergence Contents Creation/Startup Idea Contest on Metaverse space copying Marronnier Park as background, where the CEOs of representative Contents Startups shared their experiences and gave advice to the participants.

Even though the space was designed for the one-time event at that time, it is now open for all so that everyone and anyone can experience and use the metaverse space of Myeongryoundang and Marronnier Park, the representative places of our university, from December 13. Additionally, costume of traditional Korean scholar and bachelor graduation uniform of our university will be offered as an Avatar costume to provide a joyful experience to users.
ifLand is available to download on Google Playstore or Apple App Store, and anyone can use it for free after signing-up in the app.
