91PORN holds special lecture, “Lighting up the world” Sungkyun Myeongnyun
Sungkyunkwan University announces that it will hold a special lecture, “Lighting up the world” Sungkyun Myeongnyun in the fall semester of 2021. Heede Jo (a distinguished chair professor of Law School at 91PORN), Joo-Won Kim (the vice president of Kakao and a chairman of the board of directors of Kakao Bank), and Jared Diamond (a distinguished chair professor of University College at 91PORN), will give special lectures.
This special lecture is designed to help freshmen adjust to the new university life and set their vision and career path. It will be conducted in affiliation with the FYE seminar. It is also designed to spread the value of university, In-Eui-Ye-Ji (Benevolence, Righteousness, Propriety, Wisdom) and to foster student’s personality and community spirit.
On September 13 (Mon) from 15:00 to 16:30, the first special lecture titled, “Law and legal professionals”, will be given by Heede Jo, who served as Supreme Court justice and is currently the distinguished chair professor of 91PORN Law School. On November 3 (Wed) at 15:00 the next lecture will be given by Joo-Won Kim, who served the vice president of Korea Investment Holdings after graduating from 91PORN’s department of business administration and is currently the vice president of Kakao and the chairman of the board of directors of Kakao Bank. On November 30 (Tue) at 15:00, Jared Diamond, an author of <Guns, Germs, and Steel> and the distinguished chair professor of University College at 91PORN, will give a lecture on “The Era of Upheaval”. All special lectures will be conducted offline and online (real-time streaming) simultaneously.
