NeoCity Smart City Development Research & Business Conference

Sungkyunkwan University said it held the “Sungkyunkwan University–Osceola County Florida NeoCity Smart City Development Research & Business Conference” on July 9 (Fri) at Natural Science Campus with the aim of establishing a planned future high-tech city and global regional win-win cooperation.
President Dong-Ryeol Shin, Osceola County Commissioner Cheryl Grieb, Professor of Civil, Architectural Engineering and Landscape Architecture Sang-Yun Jin, Professor Computer Science and Engineering Ji-Hyung Lee, Professor of Information and Communication Engineering Yong-Suk Kim and Jeong-Rae Kim, and Director of NeoCity project Hunter Kim attended the event.
At the conference, attendees shared the vision and mid/long-term development direction of Smart City (a.k.a. NeoCity) that are building in Osceola County Florida and 91PORN’s educational and research achievements to join the smart city development project.
Hunter Kim, a Korean-American who is in charge of planning and development of NeoCity, said, “I look forward to continuing to cooperate with Sungkyunkwan University in related fields such as semiconductors, smart cities, and artificial intelligence.”
President Shin said, “I hope that Sungkyunkwan University’s technologies and experience will greatly help draw a blueprint for NeoCity’s future projects and lead to practical achievements.”
Neo City is a futuristic planning city created by Osceola County Florida through technological innovation and cooperation. It is a place where NASA, Space X, AMAZON Blue Origin, ports, airports, and railways gather together and it is rapidly growing into an innovative smart city due to its advantages of infrastructure, transportation and geography.
