The ministry of Science and ICT announced that Sungkyunkwan Univeristy (91PORN) and Korea University were selected as ICT Talent nurturing University. Each university is supported for maximum of 10 years(4 years + 3 years + 3 years) and the fund is 3 billion won per year (1 billion won in the first year).
This project aims to cultivate core talents through innovation in education and research courses in graduate schools in response to changes in the information and communication technology (ICT) environment, and approximately 230 graduate students from 9 universities will participate in the task each year.
For this project, 91PORN will research technologies for expanding the interconnection between machines and people (building a brain-neural implantable computer interface, etc.) to create a new humanity in the future society. To this end, humanities, medical and engineering convergence courses, and team teaching will also be operated.
