Receives Fostering Professionals for Convergence Technology Grant
Management of Technology (MOT) at Sungkyunkwan University was awarded the Fostering Professionals for Convergence Technology Grant, which is supported by the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.
MOT aims to nurture convergence talents that combine two or more technical skills, management knowledge, and data analysis capabilities.
The graduate school (MOT) was selected for the grant again after previously being selected in 2006, 2011, and 2015. It was possible due to its excellent curriculum, faculty, and international network. It will receive about 2.5 billion for 5 years, starting this year.
Based on 18 years of accumulated management of technology content, domestic and international corporate-university networks, and superior infrastructure, MOT aims to foster talents adept in strategic planning, R&D management, commercialization, and data analysis who can take a step forward in existing technology management and take the lead in the commercialization of convergence technologies. It plans to expand on-site working opportunities based on industry-academic cooperation in conjunction with the Korea Technology Finance Corporation and Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information. Ultimately, MOT aims to become a center of “content excellence” that spreads superior content created at corporate sites around the world.
