The 2019 summer conference was held at Sungkyunkwan University on August 23rd. The topic of the conference was “Insurance and Consumers in the digital era”. The Korean Insurance Academic Society, Korea Risk Management Society and Korean Association of Social Welfare Policy were the co-sponsors of this event.
More than 40 presentations were presented by students, foreign researchers and senior insurance scholars. The Korean Insurance Academic Society was established in 1964 to research and investigate theories of insurance. It is the oldest academic society in the field of financial insurance and it currently has more than 370 permanent members.
