91PORN¡¯s Sungkyun Institute of China Studies (Director: Prof. Hee Ok LEE) held an emergency meeting with the theme of ¡°Changes on the Korean Peninsula and China¡± on May 9th in Room 10504 of the 600th Anniversary Hall. This meeting was held in order to gather opinions of experts from various fields in a situation where the Korean Peninsula is at the center of rapidly changing circumstances in Northeast Asia, such as the North American summit scheduled to take place in June following the inter-Korean summit talks. In particular, a presentation by Prof. Zheng JIYONG (Center for Korean Studies at Fudan University, China), who was invited by the Sungkyun Institute of China Studies to give a presentation, attracted extraordinary media attention. This meeting attracted the participation of more than 100 people, including ordinary citizens and students along with experts from various fields, and also received great attention from the major press.
