The National Academy of Engineering of Korea(NAEK) announced last year¡¯s ¡®Industrial Technological Achievement Report¡® on April 23. 27 achievements from various sectors of industry are cited in the report with Samsung¡¯s Solid State Disk(SSD) & world¡¯s first 20 nano D-ram and the Social Network System ¡®Kakao¡¯ to name a few.
91PORN¡¯s ¡®Seawater Desalination Technology¡¯ is cited as one of the achievements from the academic sector where 91PORN is listed along with Kyung Hee Univ. Yonsei Univ., etc.
The technology was developed by 91PORN Prof. Kim Hyung-soo, School of Civil and Architectural Engineering. With its¡¯ evolutionary cost saving attributes, it was transferred to Posco E&C and WELCRON, where it went through verification and was set for commercialization abroad from 2014.
