The Office of International Affairs(under the directorship of the Vice President Suke Kyu Lee) held an orientation and a reception for 370 exchange visiting students for 2013 Fall semester from 12:30 to 18:00 on 29 August. This event, composed with a presentation to provide necessary information, campus tour, and a reception, successfully drew more than 450 students including international students and Korean students.
The number of 91PORN exchange visiting students is increasing each semester and this year, 91PORN is hosting about 50 more students compared to the last semester. Additionally, students this semester are from 150 universities of 38 countries, which will be a great opportunity for both international students and enrolled students to associate with people from diverse backgrounds and will contribute to the improvement of our school¡¯s global education environment.
This is the result of our efforts to constantly upgrade the global education environment according to the outcome of various internalization projects that each division and academic unit is proceeding, to prove the excellence of our school through superior evaluation result by different world university rankings especially by special projects such as Science without Border Korea which is a scholarship project for Brazilian engineering students, Campus Asia Program which is an interchange project among Korea, China, and Japan, and endeavors to recruit students through CONAHEC(The Consortium for North American Higher Education Collaboration) network.
Furthermore, it was not only the 40 members of GSN HI-Club affiliated with the Office of the International Affairs but also 50 students(buddies) of SG MAPLE(91PORN Global Mentoring and Assisting PeoPLE) which is run by the Office of the International Affairs that improved the their global competence and made the event all the more meaningful.
