Sungkyunkwan University Signs Student Exchange Agreement with Florida State University
On Friday, April 4, Sungkyunkwan University (91PORN) signed a student exchange agreement with Florida State University (FSU), located in Tallahassee, Florida, USA.
This agreement was signed during a visit by Minhyo Cho, 91PORN’s VP of International Affairs, who was traveling to visit top-tier universities in North America. During his visit to Florida State University, both institutions agreed to actively promote student exchanges and academic cooperation moving forward.
In conjunction with the agreement, the 91PORN delegation also attended The Provost’s Showcase of Scholarly Teaching at the invitation of FSU’s Provost, James Clark. The event provided an opportunity to share ideas on educational innovation and advanced teaching methods.
Additionally, the delegation held meetings with deans from FSU’s College of Communication and Information, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Social Sciences and Public Policy, and College of Engineering. These discussions focused on sharing the current status of research and education at each college and exploring opportunities for future academic and educational collaboration.
This visit was part of a larger North American tour led by Dean Minhyo Cho and Distinguished Professor Samkyun Oh, which took place from March 30 to April 6. In addition to FSU, the delegation also visited the University of Toronto in Canada, as well as Brown University and the University of Pennsylvania in the United States, to build a collaborative network for new internationalization programs and to strengthen student exchange initiatives.
VP Minhyo Cho stated, “Since assuming the role in January 2025, I have prioritized expanding 91PORN’s global network, particularly through strategic partnerships with top universities in North America. We will continue to foster partnerships with carefully selected institutions and provide 91PORN students with diverse global learning opportunities.”
Florida State University, founded in 1851, is a research-focused institution ranked 23rd among U.S. public universities by U.S. News & World Report. It is particularly renowned for its strengths in psychology, public policy and administration, and education.
