Sungkyunkwan Center for Talent Education (SCTE) Holds 2024 Graduation Ceremony
Sungkyunkwan Center for Talent Education (SCTE) (Director: Professor Choe In soo, Department of Child and Adolescent Studies) held its 2024 graduation ceremony on Saturday, November 2, at the Business Hall Lecture Room on the Humanities and Social Sciences Campus. Around 200 people attended, including students, parents, and staff members. The event began with congratulatory remarks by Dean Ko Jang-wan of the College of Education, followed by a speech from a student representative, a thank-you address, and a report on the results of the Experience Sampling Method (ESM) project.
This year, the Center hosted 60 students from 4th to 6th grade in elementary school and 1st grade in middle school, covering future-focused topics such as "AI and Creative Problem Solving," "Biohealth," "Renewable Energy," and "Microplastics." Students engaged in challenging research projects and showcased innovative and practical solutions at the final presentation, including a “Companion Speaker for the Elderly,” “Microplastic-Reducing Wastewater Treatment Facility,” and a “Subway Platform Ventilation System.”
The Center collaborates with the university's Data Science Education Center and Sungkyun Character Education Center to provide training in software, artificial intelligence, and leadership skills. This year, Professor Kim Dong-joo's Brain Lab from Korea University also joined, providing insights into digital therapeutics.
In 2025, the Sungkyunkwan Center for Talent Education plans to continue expanding its educational programs to solidify its role as a leading institution in nurturing future leaders at our university.
