Sungkyun Institute of China Studies Hosts 2024 Study Tour in Busan for 100 Chinese Graduate Students in Korea

The Sungkyun Institute of China Studies (Director: Hee-Ok Lee), in collaboration with the Korea Foundation (KF), hosted the 2024 Busan Study Tour for 100 Chinese graduate students in Korea from November 1 to 3.
Participants engaged in expert lectures at Busan's Center for Creative Economy and Innovation and visited local ESG and urban regeneration sites in Yeongdo and Suyeong districts, gaining insights into Korea's local government initiatives on urban revitalization and cultural projects. Additionally, they explored Korean maritime history, culture, and diplomacy at the National Maritime Museum. During the tour, they also created and promoted photographic works titled "Busan Through the Eyes of Young Chinese."
One participant shared, "The Busan Study Tour was meaningful as it allowed us to directly experience and deepen our understanding of topics covered in previous expert lectures. It was also rewarding to connect with other Chinese graduate students across Korea, learning more about research and student life."

Jointly organized by the Sungkyun Institute of China Studies and the Korea Foundation, the Forum for 100 Chinese Graduate Students in Korea aims to enhance understanding of Korea, dispel misconceptions, and foster goodwill among Chinese students in master’s and doctoral programs. The forum has become a prominent platform for youth exchange and public diplomacy, gaining widespread support from various sectors in both Korea and China.
