The Vice President's delegation from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, visits our university to discuss ways to strengthen collaboration and exchange

On August 7th, a delegation from Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, led by Vice President Lam Khin Yong, visited our university to discuss ways to strengthen collaboration and exchange between the two institutions.
The meeting was attended by President Yoo Ji-beom, Vice President Choi Jae-boong (who also serves as the head of the Industry-University Cooperation Foundation), Planning and Coordination Director Yoo Pil-jin, Academic Affairs Director Bae Sang-hoon, International Affairs Director Lee Han-jung, Deputy Director of Industry-University Cooperation Kim Sun-kook, and Deputy Director of International Affairs Jeon Il.
During the visit, Vice President Lam introduced NTU's research support systems and current industry-university collaboration initiatives, proposing an expansion of cooperation with our university. He also shared that NTU recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Siheung City for a joint project titled 'Advanced Research Collaboration for National and Regional Development.' This project aims to ¡øestablish a glocal (global-local) research cluster in future industries, ¡øfoster new industries, and ¡østrategically attract leading domestic and international companies. Vice President Lam expressed his hope to expand various research and industry-university collaboration efforts with our university as well.

President Yoo Ji-beom expressed his gratitude, stating, "We are thankful for the proposal from NTU, a university of world-class standing. Through this visit, I hope to further strengthen the already friendly relationship between our institutions and develop a more practical and sustained partnership across various fields."
Our university and NTU have been actively engaging in student exchanges since signing an exchange agreement in 2006. Other collaborative efforts include awarding an honorary doctorate to NTU President Subra Suresh (2018), running a Dual Degree program within the College of Engineering, and conducting joint research.

Established in 1991, NTU is a research-focused national university located in Jurong, Singapore. It ranks 15th globally and 4th in Asia according to the QS World University Rankings, and is recognized as a key global hub for technological research.
