Completion of the
Sungkyunkwan University-Institute of Energy Science and Technology (SIEST) -
Kyoto University Workshop and Signing of the Joint Research Program MOU

The 1st Sungkyunkwan University-Institute of Energy Science and Technology (SIEST) - Kyoto University Workshop was successfully held on June 5th (Mon), at the Institute for Chemical Research (ICR) at Kyoto University.
The workshop was attended by Professor Nam-gyu Park, Director of SIEST, Professor Pil-jin Yoo, Head of the Planning and Coordination Office, Professor Hyun-seok Jung, Director of SIEST Energy Conversion Research Institute, Professor Deok-young Jung from the Department of Chemistry, and Professor Lee Jin-wook from SIEST. Kyoto University was represented by Professor Takashi Aoyama, Director of ICR, Professor Atsusi Wakamiya, and many other faculty members and researchers.

SIEST and ICR have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote continuous and active joint research programs in the future. Specifically, various programs such as ¡÷exchange professors, ¡÷exchange students, and ¡÷joint workshops for collaborative research are expected to be implemented, this MOU will be valid for five years.
Following the signing of the MOU, the 1st Sungkyunkwan University-Kyoto University Joint Workshop took place, and lively discussions were held for future collaborative research. The 2nd workshop is scheduled to be held at Sungkyunkwan University later this year.
