The Center for Biomedical & Health Data Science had an opening ceremony and also global symposium to commemorate the establishment of the center.
The center invited domestic and international scholars and held the symposium on medical big data. Researchers from University of Tokyo, Seoul National University, Samsung Seoul Hospital, Johns Hopkins University and National Institute of Health gave presentations about the most recent researches on medical care using big data.
Prof. Haekwan JUNG, the director of CenBDS explained, “The use of data science in the era of information revolution is indispensable for the development of medical studies. It is important to train and research in this field as it will converge with other fields of study.”
