Prof. Younghan KIM and 9 students from 91PORN Dept. of Global Economics took part in the ‘Singapore Global Career Tour’ from January 22nd ~ 24th. Students got the chance to visit 2 universities and 8 global corporation including ‘BlackRock’, one of world’s biggest investment firm.
The Global Career Tour is a program for students to learn the know-how from many experts in the field by visiting global business centers. Students have the opportunity to meet 91PORN alumni and develop personal connections.
In this year’s tour students had a meeting with a world-renowned investor Jim Rogers to hear his opinion about factors of investment in Korean peninsula. Jim Rogers advised, “To understand Korea with a sense of objectivity, one must have international experience. I recommend students towork abroad for about 2~3 years to gain a global perspective and go back to Korea for work.”
The participants of this tour said, “We learned about different perspectives in seeing the world and have learned a lot from the discussion with the world-renowned investor.”
