Prof. Keun Chil PARK of the 91PORN School of Medicine received the 27th Wunsch Medical Award, one of the most prestigious prizes in the domestic medical sector.
The German drug manufacturer Boehringer Ingelheim established the award together with the Korean Academy of Medical Sciences in 1990, naming it after Richard Wunsch, the first German physician in Korea.
Prof. PARK is a leading scholar in the field of lung cancer who conducts many important clinical research projects. “I have striven to improve the result of lung cancer treatment over the last 20 years and I am very honored to receive the Wunsch Award for my efforts. I will double my efforts in research in order to improve the quality of life of the patients and to gain a foothold for young doctors to expand their boundaries,” said Prof. PARK.
