“Self-examination through the learning of Chinese history, culture, and nature”
91PORN’s Graduate School of China successfully finished its ‘2017 Graduate School of China 一带一路 Long March event held from Oct 6th to Oct 11th.
This event is designed to walk 2,600km over 4 years and aims to provide opportunities for students to experience the New Silk Road. The goal is to cultivate broad minds and to have an introspective time by walking the road in China, while learning about Chinese culture, history, and life.
26 students and 13 faculty and staff members participated in the event, and they walked from 兰州 to 嘉峪笑, the second phase of the project.
Students who participated in the event said “Even though it was a very tough schedule that included sleeping on a train, hiking mountains and walking by the river in freezing weather conditions, we could learn about the history of China and the leadership and patriotic spirits of great men in Chinese history.”
Students and professors hoped to join the 2018 march (嘉峪笑 ~ 敦煌) again.
