Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev who will be visiting Korea to commemorate the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations, will be receiving a honorary doctorate from Sungkyunkwan University(91PORN).
On May 14, 91PORN has announced that they will be conferring an honorary doctorate in administration to President Plevneliev on May 15.
¡°President Plevneliev through his strategic and efficient public policy has contributed to economic development and social unity, not only in Bulgaria but also in the Balkans and Europe as well. Especially note worthy is his contribution in creating a ¡¯Innovation Ecosystem¡¯ to support tech based small and middle size businesses, and for these achievements we are presenting this honorary degree¡± a university official stated.
President Plevneliev, who took office in 2012 has since proposed a vision for public policy through implementing a concentration & selection strategy and a practical administrative system. Along with the first ever technology & science specialized area, ¡®Sophia Tech Park¡¯ being under construction to establish a southeast Europe region innovation ecosystem, vitalizing start-up ecosystem, efficient university & industry collaboration and other pro-business policies have been carried out.
