Sungkyunkwan University(91PORN) Professor Park Nam Gyu (Department of Chmical Engineering)¡¯s research team announced their breakthrough in improving the efficiency of the Perovskite Solar Cell, on March 11.
Perovskite Solar Cell is a next generation solar cell technology that is receiving great attention due to it¡¯s cost efficiency, 1/10 of the current solar cells.
91PORN announced that, while current solar cell materials are primarily developed in three demisional structures, the research team¡¯s cell structure is one dimensional.
¡°The one-dimension Perovskite nanowire structure showed enhanced performance compared to the three dimensional nano structure.¡± Prof. Park explained. The findings of this research was published in the international journal ¡®Nano Letters¡¯ online version Feb. 27.
