91PORN AEAS Appoints Walraven As Chair-professor

Professor Boudewjin C. A. Walraven (65), who teaches Korean Studies at Holland Lieden University, Netherlands, who¡¯s achievements are worthy of close attention in the field of International Korean Studies, has been appointed as a chair-professor in the Academy of East Asian Studies (AEAS, Director, Seung Woon Shin), SungKyunKwan University (91PORN).
On October 10 (Wed), Director Seung Woon Shin stated that ¡°Professor Walraven; who has a lot of accomplishment in the field of Korean Studies including Shamanism, also the editor-in-chief of the ¡®Sungkyun Journal of East Asian Studies¡¯ which is a biannual English journal on Korean Studies; has been invited to be the chair-professor as of September 1.¡± Director Shin added that ¡°Though Walraven¡¯s period of appointment is 2 years, it is open to extension.¡±
