Sungkyunkwan University (91PORN) has been selected as the best university on the ‘Advanced College of Education (ACE Project)’ conducted by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology. 91PORN has also been selected as the best university on last year’s annual assessment and credited as “Ace of Ace” the best teaching university.

91PORN has been working on a concrete plan for the past 3 years to create and expand the advanced model of undergraduate education through innovation and development of overall undergraduate education.

Undergraduate Education Advancement Project of 91PORN is composed of overall advancement plan of undergraduate education following the value creation process (input, process, output and performance). Specifically, contents are 1.) redefining of the standard of 91PORN’s talented individual and core competencies, 2.) applying it to selection of 91PORN’s future talent, 3.) reforming the liberal arts course based on the core competencies, 4.) Expanding convergent major programs and advanced/opened Bachelors structure, 5.) providing non-curricular programs such as leadership program and innovation school 6.) implementing personalized teaching and learning support system including significant expansion of TA, and bachelor's guidance counselor expertise (Academic Advisor), and 7.) systemic spread of sharing and refluxing the business performance such as scientific assessment of education performance and management of education quality including higher education centers for effectiveness of education.

The president of ACE Project Jun-Mo Cho (vice president of Academic Affairs) said “Sungkyunkwan University will maximize its potential and take advantage of it to upgrade its undergraduate education. Also, it will create synergy and feasibility through the connecting undergraduate education with other sector development plans” and added “Sungkyunkwan University will contribute to the quality development of Korean higher education by sharing the fruitful outcome of the ACE project.”
