Inauguration of the College of Engineering Graduate Alumni Association and Successful "One Heart Festival for Engineers"

The College of Engineering, with a proud history spanning over 60 years since the establishment of the Department of Chemical Engineering in 1965 and the Departments of Mechanical and Metallurgical Engineering in 1966, had not seen much activity within its graduate alumni association. To address this, the college elevated the existing "Engineers' Day" to the "One Heart Festival for Engineers," aiming to strengthen the network between undergraduate and graduate students and foster the development of the College of Engineering. The festival took place on Friday, October 4th, at the Samsung Library on the Natural Sciences Campus, with both undergraduate and graduate students participating, making this event larger than previous ones.

During the first part of the event, each department shared its research outcomes through a research exchange session, allowing for the introduction and interaction between different laboratories. This served as a foundation for future interdisciplinary collaborative research.

The second part of the event featured an academic forum to commemorate the launch of the Graduate Alumni Association. This forum, named the "Chugang Graduate Academic Forum" in honor of Park Sang-Jo, Chairman of Kowon Corporation and a 1966 graduate in Chemical Engineering, who has made significant contributions to the college’s development and provided vision for its students.
