Delegation from Chiang Mai University in Thailand Visits Our University to Discuss Collaboration Plans for Joint Research and Exchange

On July 8th (Monday), a delegation from Chiang Mai University (CMU) in Thailand, led by President Pongruk Sribanditmongkol, visited our university to discuss collaboration plans and exchange cooperation measures.
The visiting delegation, including our President Ji-Beom Yoo, Director of Office of International Affairs Hanjung Lee, and Professor Jong-hwan Seo from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, discussed various strategies for cooperation and exchange between the two universities. Specifically, they agreed to promote joint research in fields such as ¡øengineering, materials and plasma, biomedical, and healthcare; ¡ø collaborate in entrepreneurship; ¡øexchange researchers; and hold ¡øjoint workshops/symposiums in various domains.

Chiang Mai University is a national university with four campuses located in Suan Sak, Suan Dok, Mae Hia, and Si Bua Ban in Thailand. It has been an active partner university with our institution since the first academic exchange agreement was signed in 2011, marking approximately 13 years of vibrant exchanges.
In particular, since 2016, the two universities have continued active exchanges in the materials and plasma fields, centered around the 'Composite Materials Co-Design Industrial Technology Hub Center' (led by Professor Jong-hwan Seo) in our College of Engineering.
