Dr. Marta Gonçalves from the Department of Advanced Materials Science & Engineering was Awarded Young Scientist Prize by the International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC)

Dr. Marta Gonçalves from the Department of Advanced Materials Science & Engineering has been selected as the recipient of the "Maison G de Navarre Young Scientist Prize" by the International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC), the most prestigious society in the field of cosmetics.
This award is presented biennially to young scientists in the cosmetics field, and Dr. Gonçalves has been chosen as the sole awardee for her research titled "Evolution of Clean Beauty: Exploring the Past, Present, and Future." The award will be presented at the opening ceremony of the conference in Barcelona on September 4th.
Dr. Marta Gonçalves completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Porto in Portugal and her master's degree at the University of Lisbon. Following that, she completed her doctoral studies at our university's Institute of Nanoscience and Technology (SAINT) under the guidance of Professor Byung Mook Won. She has been working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Advanced Materials Science & Engineering since March 2023.
